Education
Foundation
The Decatur County Education Foundation, a nonprofit organization, was established in 1998 as a continuation of the commitment by businesses and industries, as well as others in the private sector to support and encourage education initiatives for Decatur County students. The Decatur County Education Foundation is responsible for securing, receiving, holding, and investing funds for distribution to promote and sponsor activities which allow students to gain knowledge and skills needed for our changing world. Foundation funds are disbursed as scholarships for graduating seniors planning to further their education or as mini grants for innovative classroom projects.
