Funeral services for Mr. Billie Charles Roberts, age 77, are scheduled for 2:00PM, Thursday, August 9, 2007 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Dr. Hoyt Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Roberts died early Tuesday in Jackson. He was born July 31, 1930 in Tallassee, Alabama to the late Roy and Maggie Meadows Roberts. He was a retired Lieutenant Commander in the U. S. Navy, serving in Vietnam and Korea, and later retired as Administrator of Lexington Hospital. He was a member of Lexington Presbyterian Church and a past president of the American Legion. Mr. Roberts was an extraordinary man and avid golfer, who was loved and respected by all.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Roberts, one sister, Betty Roberts, and a special friend, Dr. Cole Chambers. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Mary Alice Young Roberts of Lexington, two daughters, Patti Roberts of San Diego, CA and Pamela (James) Ross of Henderson, and five grandchildren, Derrick Bedwell, Caleb Bedwell, Mary Abramson, Shelley Abramson, and Haley Wilson. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 5:00 P. M. to 9:00 P. M. and Thursday 9:00 A. M.to 2:00 P. M.
