My name is Edgar D. Byler, III; welcome to my world - a world of humor, a world of
history, and by all means a world of genealogy. Unlike James Thurber, I am not a humorist,
although some would give me that appellation. But I am a historian and a genealogist. I

never be documented; the records have been lost, or simply never existed in the first
place. But I have compiled this information with a great deal of thought, care and
