My grandfather was Bently Harrison POPE born in Wayne Co. in 1892. He married Florence
Blasingim. I am looking to find my great-grandfather. No one still living knows the
"real" story, but he was born a WILLIAMS and went to live with the POPE family
and took the POPE name. Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm a beginner! I would be
willing to help type any old records.

I am a descendant of HENRY MCGEE and MARY OTTERTAIL, both full blood Cherokee. I can
not find any information on the parents of HENRY or MARY. I have the book on HENRY MCGEE
and AMOS KILBURN. However, no infomation is given on anyone preceeding them. I would love

I am a descendant of THOMAS JEFFERSON JOHNSON. Pension records say that he died in
Henryville, TN on March 8, 1921. However, he was born in Near Waynesboro, Wayne County on
November 1835. I am interested in any information about his parents (father may be JOHN
JOHNSON?). I have not been able to identify them. THOMAS JEFFERSON JOHNSON's wife was

Both Samuel and Stephen COOPER died in Wayne County. 1850-1860. It is believed they are

Who was the Daniel HUNT appearing on the 1840 Wayne co., TN census pg. 105? He was
40-50 years old (b. 1790-1800. I am looking for Daniel HUNT b. 1794 NC and wife Charlotte
(Smith) who lived in Lawrence Co.,TN 1820, 1830. He is missing from Lawrence Co. 1840
census, is back on 1850 Lawrence Co. census, sells his land there in 1852 and then both
disappear. Any help appreciated.

Looking for the parents & ancestors of Leroy Franklin Britt, b. 15 Sep 1811 in TN,
m. 25 Sep 1833 in TN to Rhoda E. Seaton, who was b. 9 Mar 1812 in Huntsville, AL. Leroy
moved to Missouri in 1846 and later to Mills Co., Iowa. where he d. 9 Jan 1895. He is in
the 1838 tax list for Wayne Co., TN, Dist 8 and in the 1840 U.S. Census for Hardin Co.,
TN, His first three children were Thomas Milton b. 2 Dec 1835, Eliza Jane b. 25 Oct 1837,
